This looks like a great complement to WP Cloner. BTW, there is a library of 10,000 synonyns available from someone that has created them for WCW.
Also, are you going to create a ebook or something that explains how to use this product with wp cloner to optimize their combined usage?
I will buying your product when I get back to my home office and copying his synonyns into it as he is using the same exact format for storing them as you are: word | replacementword |
Too cool!

Tex, I have a database with a large synonym list as well. The problem with these lists is that the meaning of a word many times depends on the context in which it is used. So most synonyms for a word will not apply or be relevant in all situations.
For example:
* I want to read the book.
* I have read the book.
Two different meanings. The only difference is how the word is used in the sentence.
Now if I used the standard synonyms for “read” most would make no sense. Also words with double meanings must be used carefully.
This is the problem with most article spinners. The quality of the synonyms is not very good so when you spin the text it turns the article into something that makes no sense.
I provide a list of synonyms with the plugin. I have manually edited these to makes sure that the meaning of the sentence will not be changed when they are used. You must still add your own niche specific words and phrases however.
The easiest thing to do is to make the word into a phrase. Or at the very least add an additional word. This will make the usage more specific so you can find a suitable alternative. This is critical if you are creating articles for humans to read.
Example:
* have read
* has read
In these situations the word “read” will always have the same meaning so you can easily find alternatives.
Now, on the other hand, if you are creating content for spiders then it doesn’t matter as long as you have your niche keywords and phrases spread throughout the text. In that case a huge synonym list will work well!

The synonym list is constructed much as you described, here is a sample…
a break|an opportunity|a chance|an opening|a prospect|an occasion|a possibility|a clear stage
a briefing|an appointment|a meeting|an arrangement|a rendezvous
a buying deal|a purchase|a sale|a procurement|an acquisition
a call for participation|an invitation|asking|letter of invitation|missive of invitation|a request
a certain|a particular|an exact|a precise|a definite|an explicit
a chance|an opportunity|an opening|a prospect|a break|an occasion|a possibility|a clear stage
a chic|an upscale|a rich|a fashionable|an expensive
a clear|an obvious|an apparent|an understandable|a comprehensible|a lucid|a noticeable|an evident|a plain|a visible
a clear stage|an opportunity|a chance|an opening|a prospect|a break|an occasion|a possibility
a clever|an ingenious|a resourceful|an original|an inventive|a creative|an inspired|an imaginative|an artless|an explicit
a coach|a teacher|an educator|a tutor|an instructor|a lecturer
a colossal|a huge|an enormous|a vast|a massive
a commentary|an article|a piece of writing|an editorial|a piece|a writing
a commercial|a billboard|an ad|a poster|an advert|an advertisement
a comprehensible|a clear|an obvious|an apparent|an understandable|a lucid|a noticeable|an evident|a plain|a visible
The list was developed for a spin article program and they use the same format you do. I also have another program for posting to Craiglist that uses “tokens” that act like synonyms that I will be reformatting it for
The list has 10,000 sets of synomyns.
If you want more info let me know - I can hook you up with the developer if you don’t already know him. I am also going to try to get him to create an xml file of the synomyns that he could sell to users of the CL product
Is there a practical limit to the number of synomyn sets wordpress and synonymize can handle. I have loaded this into one of my blogs but it isn’t actually converting to the synomyns - it is merely replacing it with empty space?
