WebThumb is based on the Bluga WebThumb API. Bluga is a white-label web service API for generating web thumbnails and full size snapshots of websites.
As an indication of both its popularity and scalability, Bluga Webthumb generated its 4 millionth thumbnail in Sept. 08
WebThumb enables your visitors to take elegant screenshots of their favorite websites, upload them on your own website or blog and let other users rate and comment them.
After ordering WebThumb, you will need to install it as new component in your Joomla site. You will then need to enter your Bluga API key in the Components Bluga Configuration at your Joomla admin panel. Then configure your main menu with links to 'Latest sites', 'Most commented', 'Highes Rates' and 'Submit a new site' and enable your visitors add and comment screenshots to your own website.
The Wordpress plugin will need to be installed as any other Wordpress plugin. Please note that, in order to let visitors rate your posts you will need the GD Star Rating plugin.
All in all, the plugin should be nice for content and traffic generation...
In order to retrieve your API key, please visit and sign in the Bluga website.
Once you register you get access to the API and 100 free credits per month. Thumbnails cost one credit each with some features costing an additional credit. If you need more credits then that, you can purchase them at a rate as low as $1.75 per 1000.
